Top Ten Autographs From Each Trilogy
For those of you who do not subscribe to our YouTube channel (and you should fix it immediately!), at the onset of quarantine we published three videos detailing who we believe to be the top ten autographs to have from each of the Star Wars trilogies.
Original Trilogy
For the original trilogy, it is a cadre of names any fan would want in their collection, though the placement for some caught fans by surprise. Peter Cushing being voted as an Honorable Mention ruffled some feathers, as did someone like Dave Prowse, who played the iconic Darth Vader, coming in so low. In the end the top three were never in any doubt, but based on which of the three you connect with most, your personal order may change.
Prequel Trilogy
The prequels have been criticized by sections of the fanbase in their 15-20 years of existence but as the movies have aged, fans have developed a greater appreciation of what they bring to the Star Wars universe. For a whole generation of Star Wars fans, this was their introduction to the galaxy far, far away. The prequels were far more star-heavy than the original trilogy was, and that’s reflected in a Top Ten that had household names like Samuel L Jackson, Liam Neeson, and Christopher Lee outside the top five.
Sequel Trilogy
The latest installments to the Skywalker Saga has generated some of the most passionate Star Wars fans in the saga’s 43-year history, with new die-hard fans being captivated by Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren and Daisy Ridley’s Rey just as hard as fans in the 1970s fell for Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia. A Top Ten that blended names of the past with the stars of the present, the one undeniable fact is that the Sequel Trilogy reignited Star Wars fever across the world, and infused a new love for the saga in an entire new generation of fans.
As Star Wars continues to grow, Star Wars Autograph Universe continues to be the premiere destination for autograph collecting. We pride ourselves in being the most inclusive community for lovers of all Star Wars, from the Gungan-lovers who grew up with the Prequels, to the original die-hards who stood in line in 1977, to the new fans emerging since Disney took over the franchise.
