‘The Child' Signings Complete!

“Bring me the child” - The Client

As anyone who has seen the first season of The Mandalorian knows, ‘The Child’ (aka Baby Yoda) is not just a plot device, but also a character that has captured the hearts of Star Wars fans worldwide. While the origins of the Child are unknown in the Mandalorian, the team at SWAU knew that it was a group effort that brought him to life from concept to on the screen, and we knew that we had to start an autograph project for The Child ASAP. Back in March we offered a private signing with Christian Alzmann (lead concept artist), Doug Chiang (concept artist/design supervisor), Tony McVey (sculptor), and David Acord (sound designer for ‘The Child’).

After delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated travel restrictions, SWAU was finally able to conduct a signing with all 4 announced signers. All of them were excited to be signing for SWAU, and gave Andy some stories from the drawing table and the set, which he’ll be sharing on the upcoming Graphcast.
