SWAU: It's About More Than Just Autographs

SWAU: It's About More Than Just Autographs

SWAU has always been a community, first and foremost. It was started by autograph collectors to provide venue to share their collections and their love for the hobby. Since its inception in 2016, SWAU has grown considerably, and now is the premiere autograph destination in the hobby, reaching beyond Star Wars into Marvel and other parts of entertainment collecting.

Throughout SWAU's explosive growth, we've never lost sight of who we are and the desire to help the community.

In our partnership with Brendan Wayne as a SWAU Exclusive Client, SWAU also adopted the John Wayne Cancer Foundation as our preferred charity, with a portion of proceeds from Brendan's autograph sales going directly to the Foundation. In 2020, SWAU was proud to donate over $3000 to the JWCF in support of programs, research, and innovation that improve patient outcomes as they fight cancer.

In our signing with Diana Lee Inosanto, we learned that she is a vocal advocate on behalf of people with autism, and is a mother of a son with autism herself. We partnered with Diana to sell signed copies of her book, The Curious Mind of Sebastian, which was illustrated entirely by her son Sebastian Inosanto. We quickly sold out of our 100 copies of dual-signed books, and all proceeds went to Sebastian to further his endeavors and his goals.

In our signing with Dee Bradley Baker, we are proud to announce that all proceeds will be going to the Wounded Warriors Family Support charity, an organization that Dee has worked extensively with in the past.

"We're always looking for ways to help the community and those around us, so we've been thrilled to be able to work with Diana, Brendan, and Dee to support worthy causes and have a positive impact on the world," said Andy Luk, Founder of SWAU.

And within our Facebook community, SWAU has held numerous raffles, sponsored fundraisers, and been a lifeline for friends, family, and members who needed help, lost a loved one, or were injured.

As SWAU continues to grow, charity efforts like these will continue to go hand-in-hand with our efforts to expand the autograph collections of fans worldwide. SWAU is proud of the work we have done both in and around our community, and will continue to help collectors and people in every way possible in the times ahead.
